At 18:52 on Friday, 23 May, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shifnal.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Albrighton.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Buckets of water
• Knapsacks

Reports of smoke issuing from wooded area. One small campfire which crews put out due to location using buckets of water and knapsack sprayer.
