At 17:25 on Thursday, 26 June, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Animal Rescue in Telford.

3 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Telford Central and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Small gear

One cat released from car engine compartment using small tools
