At 16:09 on Wednesday, 23 July, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Minsterley.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Grass verge alight that was out on arrival, crews have dampened down the area.
