At 19:14 on Tuesday, 31 May, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

One 1 year old Shirehorse released from entrapment in a 15 foot deep well using animal rescue lifting equipment and Manitou. Light portable pump also in use to remove water from well.
