At 16:22 on Thursday, 1 September, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Hanwood.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Minsterley and Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet

Fire involving approximately 600 square metres of stubble and straw. Beaters and hose reel jets in use.
