At 15:08 on Thursday, 5 January, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as RTC HGV Persons Trapped in Oswestry.

5 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Baschurch, Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Small gear

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

1 Van & HGV involved in RTC - 1 person released and taken to hospital via land ambulance
