At 19:37 on Friday, 3 September, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Ellesmere.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

1 horse stuck in mud rescued using Animal Rescue Equipment.
