At 13:39 on Friday, 27 June, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Newport.

4 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Newport, Telford Central and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .

2 car road traffic collision with reports of 1 rollover with persons trapped. On arrival no persons were found to be trapped. Crews made vehicles safe.

RTC involving one car and one motorbike. Crews made car electrically safe and casualties have been left in care of ambulance and air ambulance. The road is temporarily closed in both directions at the junction of County Lane and Holyhead Road.
