At 20:52 on Monday, 6 October, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Shrewsbury.

6 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Incident Command Unit and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Church Stretton, Minsterley, Shrewsbury and Telford Central. Operations, Safety and Principal officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Highways Agency, the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

At 08:47 on Sunday, 5 October, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Nr Oswestry.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Baschurch and Ellesmere. Operations and Fire Investigation officers were in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

Crews extinguished a fire within a domestic property using a hose reel jet and one covering jet. Crews have ventilated the property and used a thermal imaging camera to check for remaining hot spots.

Fire involving second floor bedsit. Crews extinguished fire using 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hosereel jets, 1 covering jet, positive pressure ventilation and thermal imaging camera.
