At 15:20 on Wednesday, 18 May, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Shrewsbury.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Kitchen fire that has spread to the roof space of neighbouring property. Eight breathing apparatus and 2 hose reel jets and 1 main jet in use. An 85 year old male has been assessed for smoke inhalation but did not require hospital treatment
