At 17:38 on Friday, 27 July, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Combine Harvester Fire in Shifnal.
2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Telford and Wellington.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Hosereel jet
- Thermal imaging camera
Fire involving crop drum of combine harvester. Crews using two breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet extinguished fine.

Fire involving 5m x 15m of field - crews have used 2 horse reel jets, 1 foggin pump, 1 thermal imaging camera and drag rakes to extinguish the fire.

Incident involving engine fire in single decker bus - crews have extinguished the fire and damping down using 1 hose reel jet, 2 breathing apparatus and thermal imaging camera to detect any hotspots.

Ludlow and Craven Arms dealing with a rigid load HGV milk tanker cab fire - 2 hose reel jets and thermal imaging camera have been used at the incident. A49 closed in both directions and Police are also in attendance.
