At 18:16 on Saturday, 11 October, 2014, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Shrewsbury.
3 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Shrewsbury.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Covering jet
- Electric Saws/Cutters
- Hosereel jet
- Short extension ladder
- Small gear
- Thermal imaging camera
Fire in chimney of 3 storey house which spread to roof space timbers. 1 hose reel jet used to extinguish and 1 covering jet on standby. Crews will be on scene some considerable time as hotspots located in roof space and joists. Akro prop being used to stabilise large beam. Snake eye camera, thermal imaging camera and cutting away equipment also in use.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Telford and Tweedale.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Covering jet
- Hosereel jet
Small fire involving unattended cooking materials, 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet, 1 covering jet and positive pressure ventilation fan in use.

Most kitchen fires occur when people are distracted or leave things unattended.
- Never use a toaster under a shelf or kitchen cupboard - pull it out from under the cupboard when in use.
- Don't hang wet or damp tea towels on the cooker to dry.
- Dirty grill pans and ovens cause fires. Help keep them clean.
- When using a microwave read the cooking instructions carefully, ensure you don't put in any metal objects.
- Kettles can cause serious burns from the steam, make sure you don't lean over the kettle when it'.s boiling.

It was found to be a small fire involving an oven. The fire was out on arrival, inspection only by fire service personnel.

Fire involving 2 storey semi detached dwelling, fire on the 1st floor, fire extinguished using 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets. Ventilation of property taken place using high pressure fan. Fire investigation will take place in daylight hours with SOCO
