At 16:11 on Tuesday, 11 August, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Electricity Cable in Bridgnorth.

3 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Telford Training and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet

Fire involving an electric transformer which had spread to grass and undergrowth.

This incident involved damaged power cables caused by a large tree falling onto the power line. Approximately 100m of cable have been effected. Fire Service have cordoned the area off and advised residents to stay indoors until the arrival of Western Power.
