At 13:13 on Sunday, 2 July, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Minsterley.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Crews have extinguished several seats of fire in verge involving stubble and hedgerow along a stretch of the B4386 from Westbury to Brockton.
