At 11:04 on Tuesday, 22 October, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Flooding in Oswestry .

3 fire appliances including the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Baschurch and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

One person rescued using boat crews from Shrewsbury from vehicle stuck in flood water.
