At 17:22 on Tuesday, 12 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Small gear
• Thermal imaging camera

This incident involved a bonfire out of control effecting hedgerow. Crews used one hosereel jet, small tools and the thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.
