Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) is currently responding to a major incident in the Whitchurch area following a significant breach of the Shropshire Union Canal near Drawbridge, Chemistry, Whitchurch.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service is reminding the public to take extra caution with electricals following two serious fires over the weekend.
Crews were first called to a fire in a property in Ditherington, Shrewsbury at around 1pm on Saturday 29th November. A fire investigation was carried out and found the blaze was caused by an incompatible charger connected to a segway.
