3 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Bridgnorth and Shrewsbury.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Chimney rods
- Small gear
- Thermal imaging camera
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

6 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform and the Incident Command Unit were mobilised from Bishops Castle, Church Stretton, Clun, Craven Arms, Shrewsbury, Telford Central and Tweedale. Operations, Fire Investigation and Safety officers were in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Covering jet
- Hosereel jet
- Main jet
- Positive Pressure Ventilation
- Thermal imaging camera
Fire involving 1st floor room and roof space of a 2 storey domestic residential property measuring 10m x 30m. Extinguished using 4 breathing apparatus, 1 main jet and 2 hose reel jets. Thermal Imaging camera and positive pressure ventilation used. Fire investigation carried out.

Chimney fire involving a log burner in property. The crews have removed the log burner, and used chimney rods and stirrup pump to extinguish the fire. The aerial ladder platform assisted due to difficult access.

1 loose piece of lead flashing approximately 1m x 1m in size, removed from a dangerous position on the roof of a 3 storey property using the Aerial ladder platform for access. Crew also cordoned area for public safety until the item was safely removed.

At 07:17 on Friday, 26 October, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Persons Reported Fire in Telford.
3 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Telford Central and Tweedale. Operations, Fire Investigation and Principal officers were in attendance.
Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.
Fire crews were called to reports of a property fire Park Lane, Woodside, Telford with persons unaccounted at 0715 hours Friday 26th October. Three appliances (Fire Engines) were mobilised to the incident from Telford and Tweedale. On arrival crews were confronted with a bungalow that was well alight. Breathing apparatus teams with hose reel jets were committed into the building to try and locate the 2 persons who were reported as missing by neighbours. Crews managed to locate and rescue a lady in her 80's before being forced to withdraw from the building as the roof collapsed. Crews were then re committed back into the building in the aftermath of the collapse to look for the remaining missing person. Following this additional search, crews found a body in the property which was pronounced as deceased at the scene. The fire has subsequently been brought under control with crews remaining on scene to damp down hot spots and to support Fire Investigation and Police Forensics. The early indications are that this fire is not suspicious however this is only a preliminary finding. SFRS wish to offer our deepest condolences to the family of those involved in this tragic incident. Community Fire Safety guidance and reassurance work will be carried out in the area throughout the weekend. We hope that the public are not alarmed by our presence and will engage with us so we can discuss their safety in the home. We will be asking people if they have working smoke alarms, an escape plan in the event of a fire or if they know of anybody vulnerable that we can help? Crews removed loose roof panel from single storey building, following high winds. They used the 13.5 metre ladder, lines and small gear.
