At 07:10 on Thursday, 7 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Craven Arms.

3 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Church Stretton, Craven Arms, Ludlow and Much Wenlock. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks
• Short extension ladder
• Thermal imaging camera

Incident involved 1 biomass boiler and approx 60 x 1 tonne of square bales alight, affecting roof timbers.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Church Stretton, Craven Arms and Ludlow. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

20m x 40m of dry grass alight. Extinguished using 2 hose reel jets and thermal imaging camera in use.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Air Ambulance, the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Incident involving one car and one motorbike. Crews have used small gear to make the car electrically safe. One casualty in care of ambulance.

3 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Church Stretton, Craven Arms and Much Wenlock.

Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

• Cutters/Spreaders
• Small gear

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service , the Police and Shropshire Council.

One HGV and one hatchback car involved in a collision. Crews assisted in releasing one casualty from the HGV using holmatro gear, cutters, spreaders and small gear. Casualties in care of ambulance crews and Police in also in attendance.
