Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Small gear

Fire involving engine compartment and bonnet of saloon car. 2 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel jet used to extinguish fire.

At 18:33 on Tuesday, 20 September, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Pontesford.

2 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Minsterley and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

• Cutters/Spreaders
• Small gear

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

RTC involving 1 van and 1 car. One female casualty released from entrapment in the car by Fire Fighters using cutting equipment. Vehicles also made safe by Fire Fighters using small tools. 3 other persons out of the vehicle prior to arrival of Fire Service personnel, being tended to by Ambulance Service personnel.

Hedge approximately 3m x 10m alight, two hose reel jets used to extinguish, crews delayed approximately 25 minutes dragging out and damping down
