At 14:09 on Wednesday, 13 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place in Telford.

4 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Telford Central and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Highways Agency, the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Incident involved 2 private saloon vehicles and one articulated lorry in collision. Casualties left with West Midlands Ambulance service for assessment. Crews made all vehicles safe using small tools.

Never drink and drive - book a taxi or stay the night. It's illegal to use a mobile phone while driving and you could be fined and get points on your licence if you break this law. Take regular breaks whilst driving so you don't become over tired. The tragedy of fatigue is that you may drift in and out of sleep without knowing it.

4 fire appliances were mobilised from Newport, Telford Central and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to deal with the incident:

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Incident involves 1 lorry which had come to rest in hedgerow. No persons trapped. Crews made vehicle safe using small tools and short extension ladder.

Four people stuck within lift and crews used small gear to release them. The lift has been isolated until engineers attend to fix the defect.

At 12:15 on Tuesday, 12 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Telford.

4 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock, Newport, Shrewsbury, Telford Central and Tweedale. Operations and Specialist Advisor officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

  • Beaters
  • Breathing Apparatus (BA)
  • Hosereel jet

200m X 100m of Gorse and Grass alight. Beaters, 4 x Hose reel jets, 3 x 45m jets and 2 fogging units utilised off the incident support units used to tackle the fire. Drone also in use to check for further fire spread.

At 22:26 on Monday, 11 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Field Of Straw in Nr Telford.

2 fire appliances including the Water Carrier were mobilised from Telford Central. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

  • Hosereel jet
  • Rakes, shovels, mathooks

Approximately 30 bales of straw involved in fire within field of stubble. Crews have used two hose reel jets and drag rakes alongside one telehandler operated by the farm owner to extinguish the fire.
