At 12:15 on Tuesday, 9 April, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Shrewsbury.

5 fire appliances including the Water Carrier were mobilised from Baschurch, Minsterley, Oswestry and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Fire involving 1 single storey industrial unit measuring approx 40 x 30 meters. The fire is now under control and crews are using 2 breathing apparatus, 1 main jet, 1 hose reel jet and a thermal image camera due to poor visability.
