At 20:52 on Monday, 6 October, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Shrewsbury.

6 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Incident Command Unit and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Church Stretton, Minsterley, Shrewsbury and Telford Central. Operations, Safety and Principal officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Highways Agency, the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Fire in roof space which has spread to further parts of the building

3 fire appliances including the Water Carrier were mobilised from Much Wenlock, Shrewsbury and Wellington.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Main jet
• Thermal imaging camera

One large log pile, approx 50 tonnes of logs, fully alight. Crews used 2 hose reel jets and 2 main jets.

Fire in garden shed which was extinguished by crews using hose reel jets whilst wearing breathing apparatus. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for remaining hot spots
