At 18:24 on Thursday, 15 May, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet
• Positive Pressure Ventilation
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire within bedroom of domestic property. Crews extinguished using a hose reel jet, covering jet and positive pressure ventilation. Crews assisting in removing items and cutting away of affected areas.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .

Fire involving microwave and contents. Crews used two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish fire.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Cleobury Mortimer. Operations and Fire Investigation officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

1 derelict property fully destroyed by fire. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 4 hose reel jets, 1 main jet and 1 covering jet to extinguish. Assistance obtained from Hereford & Worcester Fire Service.

LGV Fire

At 10:52 on Tuesday, 13 May, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as LGV Fire in Market Drayton.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Prees and Whitchurch. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

One large refuse vehicle involved in fire. Crews gained access to the refuse compartment and used hose reel jets to extinguish whilst wearing breathing apparatus. Crews will be assisting the refuse vehicle in travelling to new location in order to remove contents of refuse compartment and fully extinguish.

Fire involving clothing left on hob of cooker. Crews extinguished using 1 hose reel jet, 1 covering jet and 2 breathing apparatus. Positive pressure ventilation used to clear smoke and thermal image camera used to check for hotspots.
