At 16:22 on Wednesday, 6 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Pennerley.

4 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit were mobilised from Bishops Castle, Church Stretton, Minsterley and Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet

This incident was approximately 80m x 50m of grass and hedgerow on fire, crews used hosereel jets and beaters to extinguish the fire.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Bishops Castle, Church Stretton, Ludlow, Minsterley, Shrewsbury and Tweedale. Operations and Safety officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet

Fire involving approximately 80m x 50m of grass and hedgerow. Crews assisted by Mid & West Wales Fire Service.

7 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Craven Arms, Ludlow, Telford Central and Tweedale. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters

Fire involved 200m x 100m of standing crop alight. Fire also affected one domestic shed. Drone from Tweedale fire station utilised to check for further hot spots. Assistance from Hereford and Worcester Fire Service.

Fire in field involving grass and undergrowth measuring approximately 10 meters by 5 meters. Crews extinguished the fire using one extended hosereel jet and two beaters.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Ludlow.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and a utility company.

This incident involved an out of control bonfire. The bonfire spread to a garden shed, and adjacent field, area measuring approx 20x20m Telegraph pole also involved. Crews extinguished fire using one hose reel jet and beaters. One casualty in care of Ambulance Service. Assistance from Hereford and Worcester Fire Service.
