At 05:49 on Friday, 3 January, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Market Drayton.

6 fire appliances including the Heavy Pumping Unit, the Rescue Tender and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Hodnet, Market Drayton, Oswestry and Prees. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .

Small accidental fire involving a small quantity of straw in a 20 bay barn housing livestock. Crew led 7 calves to safety.

At 11:18 on Thursday, 5 December, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Shrewsbury.

3 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• 13.5m ladder
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire involving area of roof. Crews used 13.5 metre ladder, and one hose reel jet to extinguish. A covering jet was also in use. Full investigation of fabric of building has taken place, and thermal imaging camera has been used to confirm that there is no fire spread.

• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet
• Positive Pressure Ventilation

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Police.

Fire involving ground floor of semi detached property. Crews used 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets, 1 covering jet and positive pressure ventilation.

Fire involving two story residential property. Crews used breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, two thermal imaging cameras and one covering jet to extinguish fire.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the British Red Cross Fire and Emergency Support Service (FESS) , the Police and a utility company.

Fire involving a log store which is 100% involved in fire. Fire has spread to domestic property, including the roof. Assistance from North Wales Fire Service.
