Report of electricity pole sparking. This appeared to be a false alarm. Crews carried out thorough investigation of area on foot inspecting power lines and piles within proximity of reported location and confirmed all power lines were free from obstructions and with no obvious signs of cable arcing.

This incident was a false alarm good intent. Reports of sparks coming from street lighting. On inspection from crews this was a false alarm and no action was required.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

One skip containing building materials and rubbish on fire. Crews extinguished the fire using one hosereel jet and then used a thermal imaging camera to check for any remaining hot spots.
