At 14:26 on Wednesday, 17 January, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Collapse Of Structures in Wem.

2 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Prees and Wem. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .

Partial collapse of ceiling in kitchen, area has been made safe and one casualty is in the care of the Ambulance service.

3 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .

This incident involved a 6ft wall which had collapsed. No fire service action required. One casualty was left in the care of the ambulance service.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Wellington.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

This incident involved the partial collapse of the gable end of a building. Fire service personnel used to 9m ladder in order to make the area safe. One casualty was left in the care of the ambulance service.

This incident involved one large tree fallen from garden onto transit van and come to rest on gable end of property. The area has been taped off and advice given to occupiers

Incident involved roof blown onto roadway. Fire Crews removed Flat roof from precarious condition and advice given to occupiers

At 09:41 on Friday, 6 May, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Collapse Of Structures in Hinstock.

13 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Incident Command Unit, the Incident Support Unit, the Rescue Tender and the Welfare Unit were mobilised from Hodnet, Market Drayton, Much Wenlock, Oswestry, Prees, Shrewsbury, Telford Central, Tweedale, Wellington and Wem. Operations, Hazmat and Safety officers were in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

One high bay warehouse approximately 60m x 20m suffering internal and external collapse, there is currently 1 person unaccounted for, search of building being carried out by fire service personnel using equipment including a snake eye camera. National Urban Search and Rescue teams including dogs are assisting with search. Casualty has been located and is alive and appears to be not badly injured. Fire Service crews and medical teams are in contact with the casualty and rescue operations are ongoing. 1 male casualty now rescued by Fire Service Personnel and HART team via safe passageway created by Urban Search And Rescue team and Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service personnel.
