At 20:30 on Monday, 12 December, 2022, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Ellesmere.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Ellesmere.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Chimney rods
• Small gear
• Thermal imaging camera

This incident involved a chimney fire from a log burner. Crews extinguised using chimney gear and used a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.
