At 11:50 on Thursday, 8 June, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Welshampton.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Ellesmere.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Controlled burning which has spread to nearby long grass and logs, extinguished using 1 hosereel jet.
