At 13:34 on Monday, 19 June, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire in Ellesmere.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Baschurch, Ellesmere and Wem.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire involving approx 40 tonnes of general waste and plastic. Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish.
