At 19:05 on Tuesday, 5 November, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Bonfire not within appropriate location or control. Crews extinguished using a hose reel jet and checked surrounding areas using a thermal imaging camera
