At 15:42 on Sunday, 2 March, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Minsterley and Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Buckets of water
• Knapsacks

Small unattended bonfire extinguished using buckets of water, knapsack and lance.
