At 07:15 on Saturday, 14 June, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Whitchurch.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Wellington and Wem. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: a vet.

Horse stuck in ditch, released using strops, ropes and boards, left in care of owner and vet
