At 01:45 on Friday, 11 July, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as AFA in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

Smoke detector activated within residential property due to hot lighter being placed on a table. Crews inspected the room using a thermal imaging camera. Onsite security removed table from the building.
