At 21:03 on Saturday, 26 July, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Oswestry.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Oswestry.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Knapsacks

Fire in the open consisting of grassland measuring approximately 2 meters by 1 meter. Fire was extinguished prior to fire service arrival. Crews used a knapsack to dampen down the area.
