At 09:56 on Sunday, 10 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Bishops Castle.

A patch of land measuring approximately 10 meters by 3 meters smouldering and crackling. Crews extinguished using a hose reel jet and a misting lance. Temperatures of area checked using a thermal imaging camera.
