At 22:27 on Wednesday, 13 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Newport .

2 fire appliances were mobilised.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

This incident involved 1 microwave which had set on fire due to food left in the microwave for a wrong time. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus and 2 hosereel jets.
