At 10:52 on Monday, 22 September, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Hazardous Substances in Market Drayton.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Market Drayton and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

Incident involves lead batteries which had overheated and released gas. Crews removed batteries to safe area and gave advice.
