At 06:17 on Tuesday, 20 January, 2026, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire Persons Reported in Shrewsbury .

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Report of house fire persons trapped however this was a false alarm with good intent.
