At 03:39 on Sunday, 28 August, 2016, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue in Shrewsbury.

4 fire appliances including the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Minsterley and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

1 male casualty rescued from water at the riverside using throw-lines and 9m ladder.
