At 08:01 on Friday, 6 January, 2017, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in near the Four Crosses Inn, Hinstock.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Market Drayton.

Report of a fire in the open which was found to be a controlled burn being carried out by builders. No action by fire service was required.
