At 14:02 on Wednesday, 4 July, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Reports of field on fire half way up the hill outside Uffington. Reports used 2 hose reel jets to extinguish hedgerow.
