At 15:28 on Thursday, 28 January, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue in Highley.

5 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit and the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Cleobury Mortimer, Shrewsbury and Tweedale. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Attending crews used the following equipment:

• Line rescue

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

This incident involved the rescue of a female from the river who was left in the care of the Ambulance.
