At 10:57 on Saturday, 3 April, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue in Bridgnorth.

6 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit and the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Much Wenlock, Shrewsbury and Tweedale. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Reports of an overturned canoe. 2 persons self rescued to the riverbank prior to fire service arrival.
