At 15:19 on Sunday, 17 October, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Wem.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Prees and Wem. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

This incident was a false alarm caused by passer by mistaking smoke from bonfire for smoke from property
