At 19:04 on Saturday, 11 December, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Wem.
3 fire appliances were mobilised from Prees, Shrewsbury and Wem. An Operations officer was in attendance.
Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:
- Breathing Apparatus (BA)
- Covering jet
- Hosereel jet
- Positive Pressure Ventilation
Fire involving log burner in property. Crews used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a covering jet. Positive pressure ventilation was also in use.

Fire involving domestic bin. Bin removed from property prior to arrival of Fire Service. Crews used positive pressure ventilation to clear smoke logging.

- Thermal imaging camera
This incident was found be 1 grillpan left on, with an excess quantity of fat witihin it, causing smoke logging of the premises. No fire.
