Shrewsbury FREE electric blanket tests

Event Description

Community fire safety officers will be at the Lantern Centre, Meadow Farm Drive, Shrewsbury, on Friday 17^th February.

People need to book their appointment by first calling Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service on 01743 260 260 between Monday 6^th February and Friday 10^th February during office hours.

If you are unable to bring your blanket along to be tested, here are some useful safety tips:

• Never buy or use a second hand blanket.
• Do not use with a hot water bottle.
• Check regularly for scorch marks or visual signs of damage.
• Always read and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
• More importantly, make sure you have working smoke alarms on each level of your home.
