Thank you for your Freedom of Information request.  Please find our response below

1. What percentage of requests for fire safety checks in private dwellings are hoarding related? Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service do not record levels of clutter within the current safe and well visit
2. How many properties are registered as being a fire or safety risk due to hoarding? 174
3. Last year (or the most recent full year), how many incidents and fatalities were recorded where hoarding was a contributing factor? 1 fatality .  Please note that our Incident Recording System (IRS) does not record hoarding as a category. To assist with your request we have carried out a search with the keywords ‘hoard’ and ‘clutter’ in the log text field.  This information can only be provided where this information has been recorded.   Shropshire Fire and Rescue have one record in the year 2021.
