I am writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to request the following information from your Fire and Rescue Authority. Please may you provide me with:
The total number of sick days taken off by firefighters where mental health was provided as the reason, by year, since 2010.
The total number of sick days taken by all staff where mental health was provided as the reason, by year, since 2010.
The total number of firefighters in your authority, by year, since 2010.
Thank you for your Freedom of Information request. Please find attached a spreadsheet containing the information requested.
Please note that for item 2 that our system does not record retained (on-call) firefighter sickness as days/shifts lost, therefore we do not hold this information and for this reason retained firefighters have not been included in the count. The figures for this item therefore only include the data for Wholetime firefighters, Control staff and non-uniformed staff.
